Editorial Policy & Standards
How we research, write, fund, and correct our content — and the lines we will not cross.
Our mission
HealthTruthLab exists to help everyday readers make informed, honest decisions about health and wellness products — without the hype, fake reviews, and exaggerated claims that dominate this space.
Editorial independence
We are reader-supported through affiliate commissions, but commercial relationships never determine our rankings, scores, or opinions. We will recommend a competing product over one we earn from when it is genuinely the better choice, and we publish honest cons for every product.
How we research
We study each product’s label, ingredients, dosing, pricing, and guarantee, and we review publicly available research on the active ingredients as well as the balance of user feedback. We cite published sources where we make factual claims.
Claims & accuracy
We describe supplements using structure/function language (for example, “supports gum health”) and never claim a supplement diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents any disease. We include the FDA disclaimer wherever relevant and phrase user results as individual experiences that vary.
No fake reviews or reviewers
We never invent customer testimonials, star ratings, or credentialed reviewers. Our editorial scores are clearly our own opinion (see How We Score). If we ever add a medical reviewer, it will be a real, named, licensed professional.
Content maintenance
Each review shows a published and a last-updated date. We revisit reviews as pricing, formulations, and evidence change.
